I
feel sad and ashamed that in India we have to start such a campaign.
The reason is not because it is for a girl child. The reason is the need
to start it in the first place. The ratio of boys against girls is more in many states and the reason is the girl child is killed as she is born or aborted. In
some states the difference in Ratio is so poor that men are getting old
unable to marry as there are no girls available in their state. It is
a sad state of affair. It is the Indian mind set that boys are better
than girls that has led to this ghastly crime against girl children. The
government has schemes for only single girl children and not for the
girl child as such. People's mind sets have to be changed and they need
to be more educated in this regard. Also stricter punishment should be given where it is proven that parents killed their girl child.
A love affair with knowledge will never end in heartbreak! |
Yes,
we have to save girl child. The ratio of male and female is in very
serious condition in northern states of India. Except Kerala in all
other states the number of girl child is very less as compare to 1000
boys. It is not only we will try to save girl child but take care for
their proper development. We must try to give them social security which
the prime duty of our society.Few
decades ago, there was much of female foeticide in some of the states
and the outcome of such a thoughtless act of the humans is the decrease
in number of females. Even otherwise, the male population of the country
and each state as well is slightly higher than the female population
with an exception in Kerala where the female population is comparatively
higher than the male population.
Still the people in those days
out of ignorance followed female foeticide, and unfortunately even
these days there are some who are going for female foeticide and this
has drastically dropped the female population and now the males are
finding it difficult to get a woman as a life partner due to the
reduction in their number. At least I think now these people should
realize the fact and treat the girl child as an asset to their family.
Wherever
we the human being fiddle with the nature's way there is calamity
lurking. The latest in this respect is the female foeticide widely
practiced in our country. We worship the DURGA the female deity as the
ultimate source of power on the one hand and are routing out the female
child on the other hand. There is no difference in the race to eliminate
the female child between the castes, communities, whether urban or
rural or educated on illiterate.
The effect of this senseless
act is going to be felt after about 10 to 15 years when the
disproportionate proportion between the male youths and female youths
will be glaring. At that time the country may have to go back to the age
of DRAUPADI(Panchali) with one wife for more young men. Otherwise it
will be not one Kurukshetra war but thousands of Kurukshetra wars being
fought between the male youths for the hands of girls.
It
is really sad that we are in need of such campaign. Sex ratio needs to
be balanced in many states and people, especially rural ones, need to
be made more aware about the importance of girl child. Girls are all
equivalent to the boys and there is as such no difference in
capabilities of both of them. It is really sad and ashame that some
people give preference to male child.
"Every charitable act is a stepping stone towards heaven"India
has gone to this state due to the existence of dowry system in our
country. Due to demand of dowry, parents unable to meet the dowry
requirement find it difficult to get their girl child married. Parents
started thinking that a girl child is a burden to a family.
Now
the concept is changing slowly. With the equality between the male and
female and the growing education, girls stand equal to the boys. In
India though the population is on an increase, the ratio of the girls
have come down, and it may go down further, if we don't encourage giving
birth to girl child.
A state must go out of the way to get a
girls married. In Tamilnadu, the government offers 4 grams of gold for
the marriage of a girl in every family. Marriages are to be simplified
without much expenditure and show off.
It is good that states have started "BETI BACHAVO ANDHOLON" at right time, to balance India with male and females in future. |

We
needs to save our child especially a girl child. Many attacks are
facing for girl child and they cannot resist because their parents are
misusing them in a wrong way. In INDIA it is shamed to hear that we have
to start a campaign for saving our child. We have to be good parents
for our family, then only we can have good value in our society. First
child abusing must be stopped and parents must take care of them by
saving in a appropriate way. |
The
campaign need to save daughters with a mass movement with society's
participation should be launched in INDIA for saving the girl child.
No one will change our thoughts but we have to change ,we have to alter it,we have to modify our thoughts and mindset a good behaviour towards a girl( A mother, A sister, A bride, A goddess).
DON'T LET YOUR CUTE GIRLS TO MOVE OUTSIDE THEIR HOUSES BUT STOP YOUR BOYS TO STARE AT THEM.
LET
YOUR GIRLS TO GROW, TO MOVE,TO RUN,TO TAKE LEAP AND BOUNDS,TO SPREAD
THEIR WINGS AND FLY IN EACH AND EVERY FIELD OF THEIR LIFE.
Par inhe jeene do,
jai hind.
